Item Build

Laning

Generally Left -> Right | Tesla is big powerspike. Can buy Sprint Boots/Extra Health/Monster rounds early.

Deadlock Item

I

Cargador Ampliado

Good because it helps alleviate Ivy's poor magazine size problem. Gives more long term damage output for wave at the start, which means its a good alternative/supplement to Monster Rounds.

Deadlock Item

II

Cargador Monumental

Greatly increases your magazine, allowing effortless waveclear, and lets you trade (Not often) sometimes with the enemy in lane with your raw gun. This will make your Tesla Bullets buy WAY better.

Deadlock Item

III

Balas de Tesla

Gun Ivy's BEST early/mid game item. Procs easily with ivy's high ROF, grants amazing jungle/camp clear, and allows easy proccage of debuffs. It is INSANE.

Deadlock Item

I

Botas de Esprintar

Absolutely one of the best T1 health items in the game. When first bought, gives HP with investment, allows far faster box farming, and better roaming with slight OoC Regeneration. All for § 800 !

Deadlock Item

I

Ráfagas Rápidas

Slight damage increase. Powerspike more noticable when you buy swift striker.

Survival/Sustain

Don't Be afraid of buying Rite!

Deadlock Item

I

Vida Adicional

INSANE item to buy if you want to postpone your 4.8k HP investment spike, to buy more items for farming and powerspikes, without being super squishy and burstable.

Deadlock Item

I

Activo

Rito Curativo

This item has INSANE value, even outside of lane. You will NEVER regret or feel bad buying this item, as it keeps you topped up for HP after camps, and gives sprint speed!

Deadlock Item

I

Cartuchos Monstruosos

Amazing for pushing lane waves ASAP. Helps greatly with maintaining higher hp after being shot by jungle camps, and lets you clear them faster. Great in lane with enemies that push wave very fast.

Lane Extras

Pressure/Damage

Deadlock Item

I

Revientacráneos

Best § 800 item in lane for winning lane and applying pressure. If buying, I reccomend going Extnd. Mag -> Headshot Booster -> Tesla for you 4.8k Gun Spike build order.

Deadlock Item

II

Recarga Activa

Given that your character has a short reload time (Ivy does), this item is great, as you will be allowed to easily proc it to gain very high value stats, such as lots of firerate, movespeed, lifesteal

#Citadel_HeroBuilds_MidGame

Order may vary. Capacitor rush earlier can be very good with Swift.

Deadlock Item

IV

Activo

Condensador

This item is better the earlier you buy it, B/C Capacitor requires FAR LESS ROF to consistently proc than Tesla Bullets. Its active is a great substitute for ivy losing knockup on ultimate.

Deadlock Item

II

Ataque Veloz

Best § 1600 item for raw unconditional firerate, while giving bonus sprint speed that very useful in the early game. Helps immensely with giving the exact fire rate you need for capacitor w T3 Tether.

Deadlock Item

II

Destructor de Resistencia a Balas

Easy to apply with Tesla/Capacitor, and provides a great Bullet Resist Shred debuff while giving spirit investment, and good base stats.

Deadlock Item

II

Velocidad Persistente

Great for stacking your movespeed, after Fleetfoot lost its value with T3 Tether changes. Movespeed resist will come to be useful later in the game as well.

Mid Survival

Extremely Situational, Buy only for very problematic characters.

Deadlock Item

III

Activo

Disipador de Magia

Insane counter to Infernus/Mirage on-hit buildups, and generally great for any enemy that is causing a debuff that is causing you to lose or die constantly.

Deadlock Item

III

Activo

Piel de Metal

Insanely Overpowered, but situational. Hard counters Haze/Vyper/Gun Warden, Gun Drifter, and ANY character that has ~X > 75% damage done by pure weapon damage bullets.

Deadlock Item

III

Resiliencia Creciente

Good alternative to Bullet Resilience if the team is slightly less bursty, while most of their weapon damage is coming from abilities, and NOT bullets.

Deadlock Item

III

Resiliencia Balística

BEFORE BUYING, Consider this: If the enemy is doing Weapon Damage by mainly bullets, get metalskin instead. Otherwise, if its from abilities, get this item or Escalating Resilience.

Mid Extras

Damage/Antiheal

Deadlock Item

III

Balas Tóxicas

You will have enough firerate to reproc it even when its debuff removed (At around T3 tether max). This makes it a good antiheal option for mid-late game, and really shines late with high HP pools.

Deadlock Item

III

Cazacabezas

Can be bought earlier to make use of raw trade damage it provides. Real value comes from large % heal that is impactful late game with 5khp+ with siphon and colossus.1

#Citadel_HeroBuilds_LateGame

Try to buy many optionals and a §6.4k debuff. Can buy Colossus later at around §40k+ souls.

Deadlock Item

II

Balas Ralentizantes

Item is VERY good right now with its base weapon damage being better early, and valve constantly nerfing all movement, meaning this item is great for making enemes EVEN slower.

Deadlock Item

IV

Balas Drenantes

When bought at around 20-25k souls, this item will actually feel effective due to characters starting to be at the 2500-3000HP range. Optimally, you want enemies to be at 3k+HP for this item to SHINE.

Deadlock Item

III

Resiliencia Espiritual

Required every game for the current spirit meta, and works well with creating more EHP (Effective HP) with siphon bullets.

Deadlock Item

IV

Activo

Coloso

Combined with Siphon bullets, and utilizing the global health buffs, the synergy you get and total health provided by this item is insane. Its raw stats are great as well.

Debuffs

Huge debuffs. Read Descs, based on enemy comp.

Deadlock Item

IV

Inhibidor

VERY good debuff that counts as antiheal and a massive damage reduction. Easy to buildup with your current firerate, and when bought, gives ~350 HP and +25% wpn damage in raw stats (Very Good)

Deadlock Item

IV

Silenciador

While inhibitor is great, this item INSTANTLY applies the damage debuff without needing a buildup. Great for spirit meta. Built-In Silence is also great for countering. Do note this gives no HP.

Deadlock Item

IV

Disparo Paralizante a la Cabeza

Deletes victor, and heavily cripples any character that has high resists with high healing/sustain. Long debuff duration and easy proc makes it SUPER useful for your team needing damage.

Late Extras

Damage/Survive

Deadlock Item

III

Fuego a Discreción

This item has significant value in the late game when you have ~+200% wpn dmg and ~+50% firerate, and do not have souls to spend 6.4k on spellslinger to increase damage output and proc rates of items.

Deadlock Item

III

Balas Lastradas

Very good upgrade that mainly serves to give you debuff resist that you may otherwise be lacking in the midgame. Damage is great too. Good because other sources of debuff resist are very expensive.

Late Survival

These are great buys at around §40k+ souls. Good for finishing HP Investment

Deadlock Item

IV

Rompehechizos

Gives all the late game stats you are lacking, and want more of. Provides a layer of protection against spirit nukers, and gives slightly more resistance to what you already have, with debuff resist.

Deadlock Item

IV

Activo

Imparable

Great when the team is only managing to kill you through CC/Stuns, or curses and countless debuffs of similar sort. Also gives survivability with massive debuff resistance and some HP.

Deadlock Item

IV

Gigante

Normally, you treat this as a luxury purchase, but if you are actually losing to heavy slows (Such as a Spirit MCGinnis Ult Build) or other sources of heavy slows, and/or chars with firerate, its good

Deadlock Item

IV

Coraza Reforzada

VERY SITUATIONAL. Very good counter against Haze and Infernus. If not enough against on-hit characters, combining this with Dispel Magic practically makes their on-hits completely irrelevant.

Deadlock Item

III

Contrahechizo

If you are not comfortable with stone form cooldown management, and keep getting killed due to ultimate abilities that can be stoneformed/counterspelled, you can buy this, only if you have many slots.

Optional Spirit Items

These are often not bought in every game. Do not buy more than ONE of these items.

Deadlock Item

II

Imbue [E]

Ampliador de Duración

If you decide to not buy Superior Duration all at once (not reccomended), it can give your ult silence more impact by lasting longer, as you save to purchase superior duration.

Deadlock Item

III

Duración Superior

Can be used in combination with BRS to achieve 4.8k spirit spike, but not reccomended early. This is a good buy at §40k+ souls to extend debuff lifetime, as well as ability uptime.

Deadlock Item

IV

Tiempo de Recarga Trascendente

Treat this as a § 50k+ Soul Luxury item to let you proc Headhunter, Siphon, and Capacitor faster, alongside giving ability cooldowns. Very high value late game, but useless if you are buying it early.

TESTING THESE ITEMS | CAN BE GOOD | READ DESCRIPTIONS

These items still can be great. Read their individual descripitions to see if they fit. Message @Highdocker on discord in dms if you have questions.

Deadlock Item

II

Ralentización Mística

Can act as a replacement for Slowing Bullets. For slot effeciency, if you are going to do this, I reccomend not buying Bullet Resist Shredder to stay in line with slots and 4.8k Spike Optimizations.

Deadlock Item

III

Activo

Tributo de Sangre

Theoretically amazing with siphon, but more often situational than a core item, and beserker is likely a better alternative with siphon. Could be preferable if team constantly debuffs you even wDispel

Deadlock Item

IV

Rebote

Generally you will already have enough firerate to proc debuffs on multiple people without this item, and are better off spending the money on more debuffs. Great at § 50k+ Souls however.

Deadlock Item

IV

Lanzahechizos

Spellslinger has been indirectly HEAVILY nerfed from the gun ivy playstyle. Fleetfoot is significantly worse on her, and you cant pop tether anymore. This removes two sources of proccing spellslinger.

Deadlock Item

IV

Activo

Ráfaga Vampírica

A good option to use after ulting with damage amp to heal a significant amount in a short time. Refilling ammo is also great if you are struggling with that. Gives some small nice stats as well.

Deadlock Item

IV

Activo

Lente de Enfoque

Has lost a lot of relevance with massive Dispel Magic buff recently, but can prove to be a very effective burst-enhancing tool for you and your team if they lack Dispel Magic or Divine Barriers.

Patch Overview (As of Early March)

The latest major balance patch (probably the biggest balance patch deadlock has ever seen) has finally done something that no patch has ever done before. After countless patches of nonstop nerfs, this patch has buffed EVERY single character in the game, as well and items. The main winners remain to be spirit characters at the moment, with most gun character becoming irrelevant (including raw gunivy being deleted from relevance). Though Ivy has lost about 60% of her original damage scaling since shop rework, the insanely short ult cooldown (despite the knockup removal) and the perma tether helps with a tempo-oriented Ivy playstyle. Super minor movement speed cap buffs and health changes also support a movement speed playstyle once more, and is a indirect buff to siphon (Alongside the major siphon rework/buff in the major balance patch). This can give a on-hit/debuffer Ivy playstyle significant relevance in the game.

Laning Stage - Overview

Your laning phase should revolve around this core principle: Your Lane trading and Damage output is low. Your Lane waveclear is very good. You should play around this fact. Do not use kudzus for poke damage, and instead use them to prioritize and clear the wave (Or get T1 camps to prevent the enemy from invading with the downtime that they have). Almost always, you lane partner will have far more poke and damage output ready, and will likely have weaker waveclear than you. Play around your lane partners strengths, where you focus the wave, and your lane partner deals damage. By playing around your strengths in lane, you will have a far better lane experience. You will not have significant lane pressure/damage output until you get your tesla bullets with 4.8k gun investment powerspike. You can also get HSB to apply more lane pressure. Don't forget to get boxes and t1 camps throughout waves, BUT ALWAYS BE SURE TO BE ON THE SAME PAGE AS YOUR LANER! You either both apply pressure, or both get boxes. Doing seperate actions is not good.

Mid Game - Overview

Your ult is not as impactful as last patch with this build, but you have it almost twice as often. This means the previous rule (ABAD - ALWAYS BE AIRDROPPING) applies even more, where its hard to waste an airdrop ultimate when its on such a low cooldown. You will be however postponing the silence until later now with the new AP order. Always be watching nearby lanes after laning phase has been ended to take advantageous rotations to help with ganks. In the meantime, you have tesla and other items/abilities that help you farm rapidly to reach your other powerspikes. Your capacitor powerspike is a great damage powerspike (provides consistency in proccage) and your siphon bullets powerspike enables you to be very tanky. Dont be afraid to buy items like slowing bullets or swift striker only on to help with engagements and provide more to your tempo. Look to deny and secure a lot of farm throughout the map, where other characters otherwise are not as proficient at doing so. Siphon also makes you much better at contesting farm where fights might break out.

Late Game - Overview

After siphon bullets, you generally are online, and want to play a somewhat slippery/mobile/annoying playstyle where it is hard for enemies to catch you, and playing around that fact. Also, After siphon, you need to keep a close look on what your team needs in terms of debuffs, or what you need in terms of survivability to remain relevant. Inhibitor gives a great survivability bonus with a big spike in health, and massive damage reduction. If you feel tanky enough, silencer is a great alternative. Typically, one of these two items will be bought after siphon. Once you have one of these items, you are likely looking to purchase one or two 6.4k Greens from the "Late Survival" Category, so that you remain survivable within late game fights where people often get instantly bursted down. Once you get all these items, the game will begin to come to an end, and use your powerful mid contest to your advantage, and stay with your team when you are at the time where the last battle determines who pushes the base and drops the patron/ends the game.

Build Notes

The order of all the items in this build all are super important. Generally, The core build path is 100% the way to go, Left -> Right, with an exception to the spirit items. I reccomend either building BRS + SoP for better early game, or BRS + Sup Duration if you are confident that the game will last long and duration will have more value in the late game. After you buy all the core items, you need to HEAVILY think about itemization based on what the strengths the enemy has, and what weaknesses you can abuse. All annotations are in depth for every late game optional item to help you towards the direction of proper itemization. Additionally, Almost every optional category is organized to where the leftmost items are generally going to mean they are used far more often than the rightmost, with the categories labeled "Laning/Mid/Late Extras" being and exception to this rule. The testing items section also ignores this rule.

I miss you GC...
