Misdirect and hex enemies

With the help of their unwilling assistant, The Magnificent Sinclair can confuse enemies with curving hexes and rapid bolts.

Description

A build working around sniping with Vexing Bolt
for high burst damage. Your Assistant and the Carpet
can make you incredibly difficult to catch. The usage
of your abilities should be at a decent level for this.
I recommend setting both the Assistant and Bunny
Hex to confirm cast if you are struggeling.
Remember the highground is your friend

Item Build

Early game

Make sure to buy sustain if needed

Movement

Deadlock Item

IV

Active

Magic Carpet

The best mobility item on this hero. Great for getting the highground in fights to avoid damage & aggro. It also gives you options to attack objectives and avoid ganks.

Core build

Think about what you need. A movement option is usually a good choice since it lets you roam for farm faster and makes positioning for fights easier. However since you will get countered rather quickly it is important to hit your power spikes fast.

Deadlock Item

III

Rapid Recharge

More bolts allow more burst potential

Deadlock Item

III

Imbue

Surge of Power

A really good imbue that can be rushed for more damage early if you think you need it.

Deadlock Item

Superior Cooldown

This increases your uptime on your abilities. A Must have

Deadlock Item

Transcendent Cooldown

This increases your uptime on everything. Remember to buy active counter items if needed.

Greater Expansion

All of you abilities can really benefit of this. Do not forget your Hex

Deadlock Item

Tankbuster

Especially good for tanky characters

Deadlock Item

Great tool for fights. A well done Bolt can immediatly prock this

Late Game Options

Deadlock Item

IV

Boundless Spirit

Damage spike and some added survivability

Deadlock Item

IV

Imbue

Mystic Reverb

Might be worth very late game however very low priority

Early Defense

You must not be outmatched to seek defensive items. You have to realise that it is all about minimizing any risk the enemy poses

Deadlock Item

I

Extra Health

Keeps you from being to squishy on lane.

Deadlock Item

I

Close Quarters

A bit on the unusual side and not of great value but if you really struggle against melee characters the resistance cuts the damage by a 5th

Deadlock Item

I

Rebuttal

Good early game option for greedy punchers or if your parries are needed but of on the timing

Deadlock Item

II

Battle Vest

Not the best item to have on you but a good source of bullet resistance none the less. Added to that the increased poke damage can be good

Deadlock Item

II

Active

Return Fire

This item provides good resistance and a good tool for fighting/dissuading enemy attacks

Deadlock Item

II

Spirit Shielding

This can allow you to live through enemy attacks that contain a decent amount of spirit damage in their combo

Deadlock Item

II

Weapon Shielding

This can allow you to live through enemy attacks that contain a decent amount of gun damage in their combo

Deadlock Item

II

Active

Guardian Ward

A good tool to use on yourself or an ally for speed and temporary health. It can be used reactive and active depending on how you wanna use it's boons

Sustain

Remember to remove heal debuffs before healing

Deadlock Item

I

Extra Regen

Don't be afraid to buy this for sustain long term you lose a max of 400 souls

Good sustain option on lane either upgrade or sell later

Deadlock Item

Deadlock Item

Deadlock Item

I

Mystic Regeneration

A good bit of health recovery that can be procked easily with Assistant bullets.

Deadlock Item

III

Radiant Regeneration

Can be a great option for sustain in fights since you can prock it quite often and quite easily

Deadlock Item

III

Active

Rescue Beam

Since you should be playing on the outskirts of a fight you might be able to save a teammate. The health from this is good the utility is better. (Can be used to pull a meatshield infront of you)

Deadlock Item

III

Fortitude

Great sustain and keeps you roaming usually a must buy. Sell it later for a better more defensive option

Deadlock Item

IV

Active

Infuser

Due to it's duration it isn't an amazingly strong itme in my opinion but with it's cooldown reduced you can get value rather often.

Counter items

Counters for match specific issues

Deadlock Item

II

Suppressor

Together with your bolt this can nuke a fire rate. Great against m1 Carries

Deadlock Item

II

Active

Slowing Hex

This lets you both escape more and hunt more mobile targets

Deadlock Item

IV

Active

Vortex Web

Upgrading to this makes limited sense. It is a great tool and can set up/save your team but it is harder to hit movement heavy characters with this.

Deadlock Item

III

Active

Knockdown

Good against flyers and channel ults (Dynamo/Mo/etc.)

Deadlock Item

A good and not that pricy antiheal option in case you need it (No longer procs other effects!)

Active

Rusted Barrel

Good against m1 Carries

Deadlock Item

III

Active

Disarming Hex

Good against m1 Carries

Deadlock Item

III

Active

Metal Skin

The bullet resist is already quite nice but the main draw is of course the BULLET immunity. Remember that bullet sourced effects still proc and that you get slowed. Don't feel invincible

Active

Spirit Sap

A good way to increase more early poke damage and/or reduce enemy spirit builds damage output

Deadlock Item

III

Active

Silence Wave

A great way to hamper enemies that depend on their abilities to win or turn a fight.

Deadlock Item

Active

Curse

A great tool to shut down enemies with big abilities that have a big impact. This can shut down channel abilities (Seven ult/Mo Ult/ Dynamo Ult/etc.)

Movement

Deadlock Item

Counterspell

An amazing utility tool for negating high damage burst abilities and reactivly countering crowd control tools

Deadlock Item

III

Bullet Resilience

A good source of resistance against gun damage

Deadlock Item

III

Spirit Resilience

A good source of spirit resistance. Better for lower damage procks and generall resistance. Get Spellbreaker or Counterspell for big bursts.

Deadlock Item

IV

Plated Armor

Behold the ANTI-BULLET-DEBUFF-INATOR. Can really help in certain instances

Deadlock Item

IV

Witchmail

Can help with burst characters since it can give you more fighting power or an option to escape on a faster cooldown usually i would avoid it since you don't have the health pool to get great value

Deadlock Item

IV

Spellbreaker

A good option against spirit burst damage (Talon/Lash/etc)

Deadlock Item

This can buy you time to survive an encounter or turn the tides. An amazing tool to escape big damage bursts aswell

An amazing tool on a backline character like yourself. It can be thrown onto teammates on a 16 second cooldown and can cleanse ultimate effects. In a pinch it can save your own behind quite nicely
