Abrams has the bulk and sustain to lead from the front, often running into the middle of his foes and watching them scatter. If his enemies waste their fire on him, his backline teammates can lay out damage with impunity.

This build is inspired by Lystic's AP order and rough item timings (like the Phantom Strike rush).

I
Extra Regen
Gives you 7 Regen total with your passive, you will never die in lane unless you fumble.
I
Melee Lifesteal
Item got sorta worse with the new patch but its still very worth buying.
I
Restorative Shot
Off CD on Hero = 8.3 Health Regen. Off CD on non-Hero = 3.3 Health Regen. On top of the weapon damage this item provides, this gives you a TON of sustain assuming you can hit it.
I
Close Quarters
Good damage increase (equal melee damage to spirit snatch).
II
Melee Charge
Timed to be bought just before you unlock Tier 2 Shoulder Charge. Also bullet resist.
II
Active
Cold Front
Burst and Spirit Resist.
II
Battle Vest
Bullet Resist, Weapon Damage, Fire Rate, and 3 Regen before banking for Pstrike.
Read annotations (on the rest of the build too)
I
Monster Rounds
Broken item for regen and pushing waves/taking objectives.
I
Active
Healing Rite
Buy if you're somehow on 0 HP, you will need to in order to re-enter the lane.
I
Extra Health
Buy to avoid one shot combos in lane and add to your health pool for your 3.
I
Extra Stamina
Buy if you plan on buying one or both of The Brothers or Weighted Shots.
Buy 2 of the Weapon 3.2ks (like Berserker, Weighted, etc) AFTER PStrike to suit the lobby you're in. | Pstrike 14,400
IV
Active
Phantom Strike
Buy at 14k and hatecrime people off cooldown. You may need to delay this in order to counterbuild, or to be strong enough to win fights from behind. Use your best judgement.
III
Point Blank
Most frequent 3.2k weapon buy because it's just an upgrade. Buy this or one of the others after Pstrike.
III
Counterspell
Item OP now, like genuinely just use it. Update 2 weeks later - My opinion is unchanged
II
Healing Booster
Buy at 20,000 souls, this is when you max Infernal Resilience.
III
Lifestrike
Item still strong but less strong, buy when you feel you need it.
IV
Crushing Fists
Buy whenever you feel it's needed. You know what the item does.
II
Kinetic Dash
You buy one of these if you get Weighted, or both of these if you want to hatecrime people often.
II
Arcane Surge
Prioritize this one if you own Weighted and are only buying one. Generally more useful in my opinion and fills out the Spirit Track.
III
Bullet Resilience
Buy against weapon heavy comps if absolutely necessary, other items can give bullet resist and Pstrike has a disarm.
III
Spirit Resilience
Buy against heavy spirit damage if needed.
III
Active
Debuff Remover
This item is still incredibly broken and I don't see that changing for a while.
Buy what you need when you need it in a game.
II
Active
Fleetfoot
I don't ever buy this but you can if you want to
III
Berserker
I buy this whenever I need bullet resist, brings you to 24% with melee charge. Lots of weapon damage if you stay alive in fights. This does not particularly help with bursting specific targets.
III
Weighted Shots
I buy this whenever I need spirit resist, brings you to 24% with Cold Front. Lots of weapon damage and some debuff resist. Ensure you buy a stamina item too.
III
Headhunter
Hatecrime tool for squishies and a source of healing, buy with caution I haven't tested it much.
III
Hunter's Aura
Buy if you need to hatecrime a specific sidelaner frequently to keep them from farming. Make sure to isolate targets from groups to get the damage bonus by charging them away.
IV
Frenzy
Whenever it gets to late game this is a very good item to buy, try swapping Opening Rounds for it if appropriate.
II
Active
Slowing Hex
Buy if you really wanna hatecrime people.
III
Spirit Snatch
More melee damage and gives you stat steal, I rarely pick this up.
IV
Active
Scourge
Infinite spirit resist and infinite damage in an AOE around you, CAN be cast on teammates which is useful.
IV
Active
Ethereal Shift
This item is pretty crazy but I don't get it often.
IV
Active
Arctic Blast
"Fuck I have a lot of money I guess I'll upgrade Cold Front" ahh buy, helps your burst a bit.
II
Enchanter's Emblem
Buy early if you need spirit resist.
II
Active
Return Fire
Buy whenever you feel it's needed to deal with enemy gun carries. Can be really early.
II
Enduring Speed
Maybe good IDK man
II
Healbane
Basically the only anti-heal you can buy on this build, it's fine.
III
Fortitude
The max HP is the important stat here, because of your 3. The passive is still useful for staying active on the map.
III
Active
Warp Stone
Bullet resist and a teleport is pretty okay still but you're rushing Pstrike.
IV
Active
Colossus
LOTS of max health and resists, and a slow, and a dash slow. Buy if it's good for the lobby you're in.
IV
Plated Armor
Insane against gun carries, you know what it does.
IV
Juggernaut
Buy if slows become an issue or against low firerate gun characters like Mirage or Shiv. Quickbuy this to get enduring if needed.
IV
Spellbreaker
Decent against spirit burst and has good stats.
IV
Active
Unstoppable
Good for contesting midboss or just dealing with some CC combos like echo shard vindicta tether.
This build is a pick playstyle, that means AFTER Phantom Strike you should be communicating to your team either by voice or pings for picks. Look to Pstrike charge targets near your teammates, once you get more damage online, you can Pstrike solo targets and explode them. Additionally, because your Charge is on a 15s cooldown at max level now, it is a completely viable escape tool. Make sure to practice charge cancelling!
