Description

heavily based on CATGIRL's classic build, with some tweaks based on recent meta changes and experimentation i've been doing. i'm still high archon, trying to climb higher but this is the general order that i've found most consistent for helping my team win games, especially from behind. always looking for new things to tweak and try out, pretty active in the #ivy channel in the main deadlock server. feel free to mention me @kyleren there with questions about the build or whatever

Item Build

Optional Early

these help with a miserable lane

Deadlock Item

I

Monster Rounds

with certain lane partners its your job to kill all the minions and just let them pvp

Deadlock Item

III

Active

Healing Nova

its been nerfed a lot but this is still a really cool rush item when they have a lot of burst damage

Midgame

tesla is your first big powerspike, you actually do damage now

Deadlock Item

III

Tesla Bullets

procs debuffs (see counters section), builds into capacitor, and really helps your gun also do damage. great item to rush in lane if youre ahead

Deadlock Item

III

Active

Rescue Beam

definitely still core, another good rush if you need to save your teammates a lot

Deadlock Item

II

Imbue

Compress Cooldown

probably put this on kudzu first

Deadlock Item

III

Superior Cooldown

also helps your sustain

Counters

take even earlier if needed

Deadlock Item

III

Active

Knockdown

please fill your actives!! if you dont like this in your particular matchup theres more below this is just the most generally good catch/debuff item to rush

Deadlock Item

II

Healbane

this is pretty key, almost consider it non-optional. basically every tank hero buys heals or lifesteal of some form that this helps with so this will help your team spend less time chasing them

Deadlock Item

III

Counterspell

counters nasty spells like lash ult or dynamo slam

Deadlock Item

IV

Active

Capacitor

specifically counters viscous but good against lots of heroes (ones that stack a lot of buffs)

Lategame

once you buy trans cd, make sure you're using your active slots

Deadlock Item

IV

Transcendent Cooldown

this is core to the whole build because it reduces all your item CDs as well

Deadlock Item

IV

Active

Curse

counters basically anything scary but unstoppable. almost always your endgame pick although if you really are stomping you can take vortex web instead

Flex Slots

Deadlock Item

II

Imbue

Duration Extender

buy these if you dont want any of the rest

Deadlock Item

III

Superior Duration

see note on duration extender

Deadlock Item

II

Mystic Slow

slow is capped so its not as good as you'd think but it builds into lighting scroll which is kinda busted

Other Good Actives

Deadlock Item

II

Active

Slowing Hex

builds into vortex web which is kinda busted lategame on ivy, and is good for catching speedy heroes. take instead of knockdown if they dont have heroes that fly or channel

Deadlock Item

III

Active

Debuff Remover

stoneform makes this less essential versus a lot of heroes but its still good

Deadlock Item

III

Active

Alchemical Fire

good for pushing objectives with the team - take either this or aura, never both

Deadlock Item

III

Active

Heroic Aura

good for pushing by yourself - take this or alch fire, never both

Testing

you can ignore this section but these are some other items ive been messing around with

Ability Point Order

Kudzu Bomb

Watcher's Covenant

Stone Form

Air Drop
