You use dagger for early lane poke damage, venom is your finisher or get off me tool.
Once the lane ends, dagger is relegated to "reload tool".
Your goal for mid game is to hold lanes, farm, and not die till you get crippling headshot. By then your Venom ability should be maxed out.
However be careful, you are still squishy, so take smart fights. Especially so since this build doesn't have stamina items by design, so wasting stamina will get you killed.
Biding your time, once your slide is maxed out, now you can really start playing aggressive and duling people.
At this point, objectives and people should stay far from you. It's now time to slide or die, just play smart and you will be fine.

I like this item for lane, especially when you are winning lane. Sustain is important, do not neglect it.

Vyper headshots constantly, so long as you aim waist up. It's a fantastic item regardless how much resist they have. It's honestly the best 6k item for Vyper.
