How to Billy Lane
Billy's lane is a bit weaker now, but our wave clear is stronger than most characters as you can spam light melees on troopers while you are reloading, so you can always have pressure. [ - ] Enemies are forced to respect you as walking up to the bridge and beyond gives you enough space to punish them hard. With Blasted you win every melee trade, and with Rising Ram and Bashdown you keep them out of position. [ - ] Look for opportunities to punish overextension whenever possible. Ideally wave prio is more important but if the enemy is disrespecting your space or hard pressuring your lane partner on your side you need to be there immediately. [ - ] Smart enemies will not give you space to kill them with, so in this scenario, shove wave hard and leave to go box and get even stronger. The enemy will either make an aggressive play for you to punish or you will get strong enough from wave shoving and box farming to dive them under their tower. [ - ] When your ultimate comes up, try to force value on it as soon as possible. The moment they give you space instantly dive with ult. [ - ] Golden rule: communicate with your lane partner when you're diving !!!

Activates on Bashdown. Heavy melee minion waves to keep the cooldown short. Feel free to sell this first.
Helps you kill all NPCs faster to gain wave prio and take jungle faster. Take less chip damage from all NPCs. Super good item.
Melee resist and bonus damage against close range targets. Upgrades into Point Blank which is a very strong item for Billy.
Makes heavy melees good. When active this doubles your Blasted HP gain, so ALWAYS pop Blasted first now.
Definitely way weaker, especially early on. Works well with Colossus. Much later provides nice relevant bursts.
Body Hurt
Actually OP item. Use this inbetween waves and hit boxes, take sinners, or take camps. Can be bought later if you're omega pooping on the enemy lane (would still buy anyway though).
Good for surviving big bursts more. Kind of emulates the health difference we had with early Lifestrike. Upgrades into Colossus in late game.
For the naughty laners who like to melee you a lot. Don't just spam it like a bot, that will get you killed.
How to Billy Mid-Game
After lane I would generally recommend trying to play around your ult's cooldown. Farm by catching trooper waves and stealing enemy jungling. Using Blasted in jungle will allow you to leave camps with more HP than you entered with. [ - ] Make sure to pause jungling to prioritize catching the nearest wave EVERY time, the jungle will still be there and is worth less than troopers. [ - ] When ult is off cooldown, keep farming but look at your map and try to scope out where a fight is going to happen and start rotating. If one is already happening and you can make it, start rotating. Billy is an insane teamfighter when his ult is ready. You can also rotate for fights when you have no ult if you can gank quickly. Lifestrike is super nerfed and not viable until late, try to fight with Blasted up only!!!

Still an insane item, arguably even better on Billy now once Bashdown reaches Lv3. Helps you reach bigger burst with Bashdown.
Bullet Resist
Bullet resist for everyone around you, move speed, fire rate, and winions all in one. Even better if you have a teammate with summons (Graves or McGinnis).
Spirit Resist
Gives spirit resist and is lowkey a little OP. Strong early damage that scales and slows for a long duration. Effectively a 5th ability. Do not sleep on this item.
Very good spirit power (+ resist) increase item. Spirit power not only increases your damage but also your Blasted bonus HP scaling.
Situational Counters
Big into cc heavy teams, works well with Reactive Barrier and upgrades into Spellbreaker or Unstoppable.
Super good item, highly recommend against characters who rely on their abilities. Can also parry walker stomp to proc a free heal and stat bonus.
If you're too grandpa to Counterspell Affliction in time (me) this item will be a very expensive band-aid to your poor reaction time.
With everyone super strong right now CC is king more than ever. Look at the enemy team comp and determine if you need to survive one million stuns with Unstoppable.
How to Billy WIN!!!
As the game progresses past the 20 minute mark, respawn timers will get much longer and deaths will result in opportunities for teams to make plays for objectives like walkers or mid-boss. [ - ] In the late game communicate with your team to keep waves shoved safely and avoid anyone being caught alone. [ - ] Prioritize safely collecting more souls while also looking for opportunities to get picks on the enemy team. Depending on the target, you may be able to mid-boss off one pick (high value pit fighters such as Dynamo or Abrams), but in most cases two picks is the safest mid-boss scenario. [ - ] Adjust your build to what is most necessary, sometimes it's worth grabbing one or two different items per game. Use your head and be smart in your items. [ - ] Ultimately, winning the game requires you to turn on your mic and work together.

Huge damage increase up close, which is where all your fights will be. Gives a slow effect as well to help you stay on top of your target.
Fat HP increase + insane resists and more weapon damage. Very good tank item. Now gives bonus melee damage when active, which is nice.
Antiheal
Great Late Game Alternatives
A lot of DPS by being near people, usually bought in mid-game but I personally don't prioritize spirit damage as much on this character.
Insane CC item. Pairs really well with Bashdown and Chain Gang. With Vortex Web you dictate the teamfight.
If you're really agead or don't have any particular item you need to buy scaling your Blasted even further is pretty big.
Less healing than Leech passively but when active component is used it heals you by over 1000. With Frenzy pop Vampiric Burst below 50% HP to maximize fire rate and healing.
More Raw Damage
Even more ammo and gun damage. Extra ammo is important because it scales our melee ammo replenish and lets us mix up our melee mindgames.
Builds from Slowing Bullets and gives a large weapon damage increase. Makes it extremely hard to get away from you. Best into characters dashing a lot.
Bullet Resist Shred
