Description
This is AndrewChicken's tank Shiv build updated for
the new item shop! It has all the defense and healing
you'll ever need, and it does a ton of gun damage
too! It also rushes Killing Blow early so you can pick
off enemies easily during team fights!
Item Build
Early-Mid Game
L-R. If the enemies have a lot of crowd control or debuffs, pick up a situational item.
Upgrade to Headhunter.
Early lane item for healing. Upgrade to Healing Booster.
This gives bonus healing in a fight and extra burst damage to get those enemies nice and low.
Upgrade to Fortitude.
This helps get the enemies low enough for an execute! Can sell later for Crippling Headshot.
Our main source of in-combat healing. Upgrade to Leech.
This amps up all sources of healing: lifesteal, Bloodletting, and Fortitude. Very nice, and cheap too!
HUGE weapon damage + resist. Best gun item on Shiv.
Mid-Late Game
Generally L-R up to Leech, but you can change priority based on whether you're taking more weapon or spirit damage.
Gives Shiv a lot of extra HP, damage, speed, and sustain between fights.
The stepping stone before Leech, which is our next priority.
This gives Shiv MASSIVE sustain. Bloodletting defers damage to make Shiv easier to heal, so we're taking FULL advantage of that!
This is a stepping stone for Juggernaut.
This provides extra damage, spirit resist, and debuff resist; and the downsides aren't bad on Shiv. Good item.
Take less damage, duh.
Take less damage, duh.
Finally, reduce enemy global damage output.
If They Have Bullet Resist
Get this if bullets are a problem. This is evil vs. characters with on-hit effects like Haze, Infernus, and Mirage.
Get this if you feel like getting in the thick of it and want to stay alive.
Get this if you want a weird hybrid of damage and sustain.
Get this to deny big bursts of spirit damage. Not good against DOT. Also good for debuffs if you're really struggling.
Provides even more healing and a nice fire rate boost when you get healing from Radiant Regeneration!
Upgrade to Crippling Headshot.
Reduce their resistances heavily and apply anti-heal, all while scaling gun damage. Very nice!
Situational
Read annotations.
Early lane item for punchy people. Sell later.
This can be good to totally deny telegraphed attacks like Lash slam.
Stepping stone for Remover.
Get this if you can't live without cleansing certain debuffs (Bebop bombs for example)
Get this if they have unbearable levels of CC.
For a little bit of extra "no kill me time!" This has the potential to be really obnoxious after a Cheat Death proc.
EXPERIMENTAL! The idea is: Cheat Death then execute the enemy who was assailing you. This needs WAY more testing. Only buy it if you're looking to fool around.
