Description
Generally you're looking to use Goo Ball for damage
in the early game and CC or frontline late game.
Pick if you want to lean into being a tank or a support
in the mid game. After Late Core the rest is up to you.
Item Build
Early Core
Gives you enough Spirit to make Mystic Shot proc Mystic Burst immediately
My pick over Cold Front. Bonus Spirit, ranged poke and Weapon shop bonus, but it doesn't work in Goo Ball and you'll usually have to sell it later
You can skip if needed for a counter item or swap with Improved Spirit if you need the resist early
Probably sell for Greater Expansion

If you're really hurting
Just some extra health back in lane over time
Farming feels bad this patch, this helps
Mid Core
Early Goo Ball double hit now that you have T5 Ball
Mid Sustain
Pick 1
If you're good you can save people in Goo Ball with this. I usually grab if no one else has one
If you want to fill more of a tank role on the team, this and armors are a good grab
Mid Options
1-2
Starting to feel mandatory again. Good item though
Especially vs slows or roots
Really strong in lane and throughout. May have to sell at some point though
Calico, Abrams, Shiv especially
Late Core
Still does a fair amount of damage, I would grab this most if not all games
Found this to be pretty good. Especially if they have Lash / Seven / Vindicta / Gray Talon / Bebop
Late Upgrades
Semi optional
You can skip this for another T4 and sell Improved Spirit if you need to. Otherwise it's a really solid damage bump for no slots and only 4800
You don't really care about duration on anything but Goo Ball, but you want the T2 anyway, it's only 1600 more, and it is +8%
I kind of see this an upgrade / replacement for Arcane Surge. Ability range is also crazy on Viscous
Late Options
As needed, probably 0-2
Especially against Warden, Vindicta
Actually does a ton of damage and good anti heal. Only problem is that it's single target
More Survivability
Super cool item, but they kind of have to have some people doing Spirit damage for this to work
Big bursty characters. Yamato, Lash, GT, Paradox, maybe Vindicta
Haze, Infernus, maybe Wraith, Seven. Anyone with on hit stuff
If you need frontline badly and/or you're getting bursted in Goo Ball
More Utility
Against anyone with stuns if it becomes a problem in Goo Ball. Lash, Pardox, Holliday, Infernus

More Damage
Really good damage, esepcially if they're heavy on tanky frontliners
Mostly for the antiheal, but the damage is nice too
More Goo Ball hits! Also a nice escape too I suppose
