Yamato uses precise strikes to decimate her rivals. However, such damaging attacks often will leave her exposed, so she needs to make every shot count.

Working on my own version based on original build by Pompei.
The build is designed around being very tanky early on,
making you much more likely to be the last man standing in a fight.
All can be swapped around. Generally L-R.
I
Restorative Shot
Buy this if you can poke without being poked much yourself.
II
Mystic Shot
Probably the best early poke item. I Skip this item sometimes.
II
Active
Cold Front
Slow even further after grappling.
II
Healbane
Bought early because the heal is very strong.
I
Spirit Strike
Lane
II
Active
Return Fire
This item resets the cooldown on Express Shot, be aware when buying both.
II
Healing Booster
Good to buy with extra health and if you put 2 points in your 3 or after Colossus for big heals.
III
Spirit Snatch
No spirit strike in lane because it slows torment pusle powerspike and is nowhere near as good as this.
III
Torment Pulse
One of the most core items Yamato can get.
III
Superior Cooldown
Makes torment pulse tick faster
IV
Active
Colossus
Bought at the exact moment you reach t3 ult. It's a mini ult and together with ult you have infinite resists.
IV
Imbue
Mystic Reverb
Second T4 almost always. Big damage, slow is a huge disrupt to enemies and helping you and your team catch them and the AoE damage is great. Spirit burn should be prio if they have big heals.
Ordered by preference.
IV
Boundless Spirit
Idk man good damage, probably not your best buy since enemies have lots of resist. Good for torment pulse damage though.
IV
Active
Arctic Blast
Freeze is good since it interupts things like Infernus flame dash, Lash grapple, etc. Also has a cute polar bear :)
IV
Spirit Burn
Read reverb, otherwise this is likely a 2nd or 3rd 6.4k OR you buy a defensive 6.4k.
IV
Escalating Exposure
Break in case of infinite spirit resist. Buy instead of reverb when you're in fights for longer than your ult uptime.
III
Active
Debuff Remover
Mo & Krill, Infernus, Sinclair, etc.
IV
Spellbreaker
I hate Sinclair, Talon, Lash, Paradox Carbine or other heroes that deal 2k burst damage to me.
III
Bullet Resilience
I don't buy this item it feels bad to buy most times.
IV
Plated Armor
Haze, Infernus, Mirage, other M1's.
IV
Active
Scourge
Your support player should probably buy this for you. This item is giga broken. Buy this or spellbreaker.
IV
Active
Refresher
Somebody call an ambulance, but not for me.
IV
Witchmail
Giga late game Enchanters Emblem replacement, has the same functionality.
Experiments
I
Monster Rounds
If you need to shove lane/want to farm fast.
II
Active
Fleetfoot
Boxes
III
Superior Duration
Actually feels kinda good but slot pressed.
III
Active
Silence Wave
Util for your team. Don't buy cold front if you're going this route.
III
Active
Warp Stone
I started using this more. Combined with CDR it's pretty strong.
IV
Active
Phantom Strike
Vindicta, Talon, Lash or Gun Heavy comp.
III
Radiant Regeneration
Works well with Torment Pulse in drawn out fights. Also get healing booster if you're buying this.
II
Enchanter's Emblem
Good resists. Can be your first buy if you dont need the regen.
