My build for being a complete melee bot https://twitch.tv/shelduntv if you have questions or whatever go ping me @sheldun in the abrams channel in the main deadlock discord
DO NOT TRY TO HEAVY MELEE AFTER CHARGING SOMEONE UNTIL YOUR CHARGE IS LEVEL 2 - the duration is not long enough and players have time to parry this melee, instead use light melees until that point.
You start with charge and focus on maxxing it as fast as you can to have the most uptime on it as the cooldown is really long, next you go for siphon life as it will help you partially with killing targets with a bit of extra damage, then your ult and finally infernal.
If your lane is difficult, put a point into infernal resilience for added health regen to try and stay alive. Grab at least lifestrike from melee items after finished then look at mid game
I
Extra Regen
Regen to help you + builds into heal booster later
I
Melee Lifesteal
You can start engaging on people in lane when you have this as you can heal back more of the damage you'd take from charging someone
II
Melee Charge
Huge damage incoming with this item + builds into crushing fists. Try to time purchasing this with when you get 2 points into charge.
II
Backstabber
Started using it because lystic mentioned it, and it's actually pretty good on melee, ambush people a lot easier + bullet res removal + free poke lane. SELL LATE GAME FOR SLOTS
I
Close Quarters
Good damage increase for 800 on your melees and builds into PB later. Can buy earlier if melee enemies in lane
I
Extra Stamina
Mostly to negate weighted shots' -10% stamina regen later on but also extra movement, can go KDash or mastery later on
I
Spirit Strike
Makes your siphon do more damage. Skippable, only really useful w/ high spirit dmg lane partner
I
Active
Healing Rite
1 hp in lane, rescue beam rush nowhere near as good as it was before
II
Opening Rounds
If you don't like backstabber being here this is a solid item to replace it with, does good damage. I use the two interchangably.
II
Active
Restorative Locket
Sometimes a good buy, especially for ability spam in lane, very good healing
I
Rebuttal
Viscous or melee bots in your lane
I
Monster Rounds
Clearing waves if you need to clear them fast and go do boxes bc there is no hope of winning ur lane
II
Kinetic Dash
Decent choice if you don't want mastery later on, upgrades and helps out gun damage between melees + free reload
II
Active
Cold Front
Damage + slow, not entirely needed in this build but another alternative to backstabber
II
Active
Slowing Hex
Stops people with movement abilities from using them to get out of your melee range/shuts down certain characters e.g calico, shiv, sinclair etc
IMPORTANT (lifestrike 1st)
III
Lifestrike
Beefy healing to help you survive alongside siphon life
III
Spirit Snatch
Buffs up your melee damage slightly + siphon life to make you heal even more. You can buy mid game items before this if you want
IV
Crushing Fists
Biggest damage upgrade, you can start stunning people with 3 consecutive heavy melees. Start heavy meleeing around the map too as it's faster than walking. Can buy mid game items before this too
Weighted + debuff remover = very negligible stun on parry. Rush colossus if you're ahead, makes you tougher to kill. Not ordered, take what you think you need.
III
Point Blank
Huge damage + upgrade, you can buy early if your team is struggling to get slots for you to buy other items, otherwise you could get later.
III
Weighted Shots
Debuff resist, stamina recovery is offset by extra stamina from earlier + good damage/spirit resist
III
Active
Debuff Remover
Core active for you to have, cleanses a lot of antiheal getting applied to you or quite a number of negative effects while giving a free heal. DOES NOT CLEANSE ULTIMATE DEBUFFS
III
Berserker
bullet res stat + good damage output
II
Healing Booster
Buffs up all healing from siphon + lifestrike, skippable if you don't want it however
IV
Active
Colossus
THICCNESS - be a tanky boy, can also use this to bait parries by heavy melee cancelling (see fleetfoot)
Take what you need from here, annotations
III
Stamina Mastery
Extra movement
IV
Witchmail
Faster buttons on your siphon/charge/ult + spirit res
IV
Juggernaut
Gun comps w/ fast fire rates
IV
Spellbreaker
Heavy spirit dmg
IV
Plated Armor
Bullet procs (infernus/mirage/haze etc) + if people start buying armor piercing rounds
III
Superior Cooldown
Faster buttons on all of your abilities, makes charge 11 seconds per one
IV
Active
Phantom Strike
Take against a comp with a lot of fliers if necessary, 10x better than buying knockdown on Abrams
Items have annotations to help you choose the correct one
III
Hunter's Aura
If you are taking a lot of isolated 1v1s this is literally free damage and makes you even tougher to take on alone. Aside from that, it's an ok debuff in teamfights, wouldn't prioritise it though.
II
Active
Fleetfoot
If you are struggling to bait out other people's parries, you can try using this item. While you're moving in heavy melee, press the active and it will cancel the melee.
III
Spirit Resilience
Heavy spirit damage on enemy team
III
Active
Rescue Beam
Although rushing this in lane on Abrams may not be worth it anymore, this is still a fantastic item you can occassionally build to save people from being picked + heal yourself
II
Healbane
If you need just some antiheal
IV
Active
Unstoppable
If the enemy team start buying curses or there's just lots of CC in general preventing you from playing the game, pick this up. IT MEANS YOU DON'T GET STUNNED ON PARRY AND CAN JUST HOLD DOWN MELEE
III
Active
Warp Stone
Blink to dodge certain abilties like paradox/bebop
III
Active
Cultist Sacrifice
This isn't terrible if you are able to be greedy with this and farm. Can sell once you've made profit on it. Purchase at the 8 minute mark if you want the best value from this and eat tier 3 camps
III
Counterspell
I don't like this item personally and never buy it but I know some people do so I left it here
III
Fortitude
Due to the weapon damage removal I don't think it's worth taking this, but if you find yourself low and needing to re engage a lot you could pick it up I guess?
IV
Transcendent Cooldown
Luxury purchase if you have nothing else to buy, includes item cooldowns now
IV
Healing Tempo
Luxury upgrade, do not prioritise unless you've bought everything else or you simply have no slots available.
