Bullet

item
Bullet Armor
1250

Only get if enemy team is mostly bullet damage, as escalating resistance provides more value. If short on slots, get this.

Super Late CORE

(Left side items are generally more preferred, right side less so)

item
Surge of Power
3000

[PLACE ON 2] Gives even more movespeed, significant scaling for tether, and useful firerate for damage.

item
Siphon Bullets
6000

After lucky shot, get this item and begin to build tank. You already have insane dps, so build to become unkillable.

item
Inhibitor
6000

Very valuable late game item, as it helps significantly in team fights, while providing extra damage and survivability

item
Active
Colossus
6000

Makes Ivy almost immortal. Pairs EXTREMELY well with siphon bullets.

item
Frenzy
7250

Super powerful item. Excels in gun-heavy enemy team comps, and when you already have lots of health and sustain.

item
Silencer
6000

Great for ability/spirit heavy comps, especially ones with HUGE impact ultimates.

item
Superior Duration
4250

[PLACE ON 2] Makes tether last almost as long as any fight + silence. Synergizes with siphon bullets, silencer 6k item, practically all items.

Bullet +

Improved Bullet Armor
4250

Only get if enemy team is mostly bullet damage, as escalating resistance provides more value. If short on slots, get this.

Swappable

item
Active
Heroic Aura
3000

Can replace active reload, though reccomended to buy after fortitude. Also a great replacement to vampriric burst if you dont like that item for some reason....

Experimental Items (Ignorable)

Still testing these items, ignore for a consistent build.

item
Titanic Magazine
3500

If you are new to sliding ivy builds, buying titanic after intensifying is a good way to get used to ivy's low ammo problem. Drop the item once you feel comfortable sliding.

item
Toxic Bullets
3000

Suitable mid-late game antiheal item.

item
Crippling Headshot
6000

Underappreciated item. Helps entire team, and will SIGNIFICANTLY increase your damage, not just on tanky targets. Click those heads!

item
Improved Cooldown
1250

All abilities come back faster, great in general to keep up with late game tempo.

item
Active
Slowing Hex
1750

If there are enemies that you cant catch/escape too easily, this is a good buy.

item
Bullet Resist Shredder
1250

Works well with withering whip. With that, you get -23% bullet resist on the enemy. (-38% with this + withering whip + T1 Air Drop Ultimate)

item
Active
Restorative Locket
1250

Good for ability spam lanes. Reccomended to be rushed over combat barrier, though significantly weaker since the 35m range nerf.

item
Healbane
1250
OVERVIEW

This build is aimed towards being a late game carry at 19-20k souls. By that time, your gun damage growth is maximized, and you will have insane gun dps, super speed, infinite ammo with 3 reloads and insta-sliding. Focus on playing to survive and securing souls early game: IVY IS THE WEAKEST LANER. Only play aggressive in lane if your partner has a suitably strong character (ex: Abrams or Mo and Krill) or if the enemy lane has weak laners (Haze with Dynamo).

WEAKNESSES

The only weakness with this build is how frail you are mid game. This build is more frail than other builds (such as wanders) as health items are prioritized super late game. Because of this, despite being able to almost instantly kill anyone, you must always be aware of incoming cc and interupts (Mo and Krill ult / Paradox Carbine, Lash ground pound) anything that sets you up to be chain stunned and obliterated. You can get away with 1v1 picks across the map IF YOU ARE POSITIVE most enemies arent missing from map. Otherwise, try and play behind at least one teammate.

SLIDING

This build is based on the mechanic of being able to instantly initiate a slide once you have 9.3m/s (Fortitude Buy). You can begin to slide super comfortably and more efficiently at 12m/s (Fortitude + Enduring Speed + T2 Tether Upgrade). You want to slide as much as possible, despite having QSR or Active Reload as you want as much damage uptime as humanly possible.

POWERSPIKE

Play towards your 19750-20500 soul powerspike. Ivy's gun damage growth scales insanely fast, and stops at 19k souls. VAMPIRIC BURST is your powerspike, and assuming you have bought every item before it including healing rite OR resto locket, you will be at the soul count of 19750-20500, where you will deal the most damage.

TIPS:

Vampiric Burst/Lucky Shot are your powerspikes. Typically, in 75% of games, you want to go vampiric burst. It provides health, significant sustain, and massive damage. In rare cases where your team is doing poorly, and lacks a damage carry while desperately needing one NOW, you can rush lucky shot instead of vamp burst. Also, at the beggining of the game, upgrading kudzu to tier one while it is still on cooldown will instantly refresh it.

TIPS: (Continued)

Why Quicksilver Reload on tether (2) instead of kudzu bomb (1) ? Intensifying magazine instantly loses damage when you take your kudzu out. Tether is instant, and when you get surge of power, you dont want to be using multiple abilities to proc your items. If you really want, getting QSR on kudzu is still very good, it is just up to preference.

TIPS: (Continued x2)

Have trouble hitting your ultimate? Right before you drop bomb, make sure you are close to the ground to lower the amount of time needed for the bomb to impact the ground. Try to aim the bomb semi-predictively, where you think the enemy will be in 0.5-1 second, as the bomb AOE grows outwards, instead of being a instant explosion. This will knock them up, allowing you to throw a kudzu, into stone form, and then beaming them with your gun while they have lowered bullet resist, and are significantly slowed.
