Paige

Description

An early game assassin gun build that pivots into hard a hard gun carry.

I have annotated a lot to avoid confussion, but if you ever find me ingame then feel free to ask questions!

[IMPORTANT]: With this build, you are suddenly playing a rougelite. Your mistakes will be punished even harder. For this build to work well for you, you need to understand its powerspikes.

Item Build

Lane Phase

Prioritize using your shield to get favorable trades in lane, usually for yourself but don't neglect your partner. L -> R

Deadlock Item

I

High-Velocity Rounds

Deadlock Item

III

Express Shot

This is the grand opal of this build, you can easily nuke low health heroes with this item or cause higher health heroes to run in fear. Though, don't try to fight any solo powerhouses (ex: Drifter).

Deadlock Item

II

Active

Split Shot

Makes your damage unmissable.

Deadlock Item

II

Battle Vest

If you're going for Cultist Sacrifice, ignore this item. Otherwise, it pairs nicely with Hollow Point later on.

Deadlock Item

II

Enduring Speed

Speed is your best friend. Paige (ironically) is one of the faster heroes in this game. More speed means that you're able to catch up or run away better than most of the roster.

Deadlock Item

II

Active

Fleetfoot

This one specifically lets you catch up with people. Also more speed lmao.

Lane Phase (ALTERNATIVE).

If you want to avoid Battle Vest. I recommend shielding, though.

Deadlock Item

I

Extra Regen

[OPTIONAL] This or Healing Rite.

Deadlock Item

I

Active

Healing Rite

[OPTIONAL] This or Extra Regen.

Deadlock Item

I

Sprint Boots

Buy these two (Sprint Boots and Monster Rounds) after High-Velocity Rounds.

Deadlock Item

I

Monster Rounds

After this, buy shielding, then Cultist Sacrifice.

Deadlock Item

III

Active

Cultist Sacrifice

Big money and big buffs, prioritize fighting when Cultist Sacrifice is on. Continue with regular Lane Phase (excluding battle vest, ofc).

#Citadel_HeroBuilds_MidGame

These buys are each major power spikes, try to single out people and burst them.

Deadlock Item

II

Imbue

Quicksilver Reload

Less reloading = more time dealing damage. Also lets your Conjure Dragon do enough damage that it can be useful for final hits.

Deadlock Item

III

Hollow Point

Even more damage, even more nuking.

Deadlock Item

III

Burst Fire

Even more damage, even more nuking.

Deadlock Item

II

Bullet Lifesteal

[TAKE CARE] Ideally you will get at least Glass Cannon/Lucky Shot (or both) first, but if you have (almost) every flex slot, then now is fine.

Carry Time

Pivot to hard carrying.

Deadlock Item

IV

Active

Vampiric Burst

Just frontline, no one's stopping you (assuming your team is fighting with you). Especially use against return fire, as return fire is (un)surprisingly effective against you.

Shielding.

Buy one (or none) as needed.

Deadlock Item

II

Spirit Shielding

Pretty much every character will proc this at some point in lane, but if you think Weapon Shielding/Reactive Barrier would be better, then go for it.

Late Game.

These are either A) more power, or B) counters to avoid being oblitered off the face of the Earth.

Deadlock Item

III

Counterspell

Especially good against Wraith, Lash, and Pocket ult, but it's also a good all-rounder counter item. Buy earlier as needed.

Deadlock Item

III

Active

Debuff Remover

Buy against easy stuns/lockdowns, I often buy this against Warden, Mirage, and Vindicta. Also insta-buy if they're buying Disarming Hex. Buy earlier as needed.

Deadlock Item

III

Active

Warp Stone

Powerful evasion plus bullet resist.

Deadlock Item

III

Veil Walker

Very good all-round green item. Grants move speed, health, and invis which are all goated. I don't buy it out of principal but I can't deny that it's good. Invis is also good for avoiding nukers.

Deadlock Item

III

Active

Metal Skin

Hard counter to gun, but makes you slower. User discretion is advised, but no damage is no damage.

Deadlock Item

IV

Juggernaut

Acceptable against any characters that rely on fire rate or big slows. I'd prefer other options personally, but Juggernaut isn't an extra slot in this build so there's that.

Deadlock Item

III

Spirit Resilience

Speaks for itself, buy against spirit nukers.

Deadlock Item

IV

Spellbreaker

The value is kinda bad when compared to Spirit Resilience, but if the entire enemy team is only doing spirit damage then you'll need this. Replace Battle Vest.

Deadlock Item

III

Stamina Mastery

General survivability item, though I'd strongly advise getting something more specific if the match allows for it.

Deadlock Item

IV

Active

Colossus

Not too sure how good of an idea this is, but it could be good. Buy at your own discretion.

Deadlock Item

IV

Active

Phantom Strike

This could be funny but I haven't tested it yet. If you're brave, test it out.

Deadlock Item

IV

Ricochet

Crowd Control go brrrt. That being said, you already deal a lot of damage to crowds. I would advise against it, but your mileage may vary.

Deadlock Item

IV

Imbue

Mercurial Magnum

I actually don't prioritize Mercurial Magnum as it's pretty bad on Paige compared to other choices (namely: Vampiric Burst). But, it is more fire rate without expending a slot (DMG sucks).

Deadlock Item

IV

Armor Piercing Rounds

Only buy if the enemy team has like 3+ Plated Armors. Otherwise hard avoid.

Ability Point Order

Conjure Dragon

Defend and Fight!
